First Steps
I just realized how lucky I am to be *older*. When I was a kid I would hear words about God’s grace, love, omnipotence, and overall epicness…but I didn’t *understand*. I could repeat and regurgitate the doctrine, the *rules* of why we were here, how God showed and will show his love through his grace…I could even argue in the realm of theodicy in favor of God’s goodness against critics and nonbelievers alike. But ididn’t know what I was actually saying. Now…I’m cognizant of how little I can fathom God’s character (divine aspects and will included) but I also have the miracle of *life’s experiences*… of his grace and protection and sweet merciful heavens his forgiveness over me, my family, my friends, my enemies. That. Gives me something concrete, convincing, and extraordinary to understand and talk about with others. It’s a good first step.
